DR Interview with our CEO about making games about conflicts

On the 4th of november, Simon Egenfeldt-Nielsen was interviewed by DR (Danish Radio) about making games about conflicts. Among the things they discussed in the interview was the different perspectives on the conflicts and the puplic reaction to the games. Very interesting stuff!

For educational games to be successful, they must be of a high quality and contain themes that appeal to the game preferences of both genders.

We just a excellent review from "Folkeskolen" (magazine for teacher's) for Global Conflicts. They said:

"Nyeste bud på stammen er spillet "Global Conflicts", der pædagogisk set er glimrende, fordi der skal argumenteres for eller imod en problemstilling. Spillene tager udgangspunkt i forskellige konflikter, det være sig forurening i Sydamerika eller problemer omkring en oprørsbevægelse i Uganda. Den spillende - eleven - er aktivt agerende og må derfor hele tiden gøre op med sig selv, om han eller hun vil følge den ene eller anden retning/holdning i spillet."

Back from Barcelona ETD 2009, but the quest for learning hasn't stopped!

ETD 2009 Barcelona, designed to deliver knowledge on a range of implementations for measures in e-learning strategy, reducing costs through new technologies, trends for online training and how to invest and manage talent in a downturn!

Having attended many of the presentations from leading HR experts and e-learning professionals, I returned knowing more or less what I knew already.

The answers, I amongst many felt were not forthcoming, so is this sector attempting anything  promising to combat what is essentially a real issue in todays marketplace!
